A fifth generation native Californian Gerry Bartlett began her career at age fifteen as a fine art portrait artist. Today her unique style and studied use of the brushstroke allow her to capture the individual personality and “soul” of the subject! Sketching throughout the West or exploring cliff dwellings in New Mexico, she views true western lifestyles as timeless. The deer is considered sacred by the native indigenous people of this region. The coues deer (or white tail) and the mule deer (largest of the deer species in the world) shed their antlers each year.
