Lifestyle of the Traditional West! A keen eye for design with functionality! An ability to grasp your vision or help you create one! Jane brings this lifestyle to Southwest Roundup Studio Gallery. Dedicated to western artists and craftmanship. Established over 19 years ago, the Gallery showcases a selection of fine art, handcrafted furnishings & accessories, lighting, rawhide shades, apparel, jewelry and traditional “vaquero” style gear – all created in studios by artisans in North America.

In addition to the Gallery! Passionate about Traditional Wesern Heritage! Leaving a successful marketing management career in “Silicon Valley” for “San Juan Valley” , Jane offers her experience and knowledge of fine arts to selected artisans and non-profit organizations since 2010 seeking expertise in marketing, business management and event production related to traditional western heritage.

Business owner and resident of historic San Juan Bautista, California (in scenic San Juan Canyon), Jane Merrill's initial career covered 26 years in corporate marketing management with three Silicon Valley giants including Hewlett Packard. Paths changed over 19 years ago when she made the decision to apply her skills toward her passion - traditional western heritage. Leaving fast paced "Silicon Valley" for the rural "San Juan Valley", her experience, knowledge, achievements, award recognitions and contacts in the corporate world were applied toward new challenges working in the small business world along with individual artisans and non-profit organizations focused on western heritage related projects.

Her business planning skills, advertising, design, event production and management (including events at the NY World Trade Center, Hawaii, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Monterey), key note speaking, marketing management along with her personal interest in western fine art, led Jane to creating and managing two new endeavors - Southwest Roundup Studio Gallery for western artisans selected to showcase their talents in fine art, furnishings & accessories, saddles & gear; AND "western marketing management" (marketing management +) offering aspects of business management and consultation to selected artists and non-profit organizations who seek expertise related to traditional western art and events. Her network of fine arts and business professionals often collaborate and work as a team on selected projects.

Jane feels community involvement is important for everyone at some point to make the the time and effort, learning and lending a hand. Over the years, she has served on the Board of Directors at the Chamber of Commerce in two counties, instrumental in creating new programs; affiliated with Agriculture History projects and Visiting Nurse programs handling marketing and promotional aspects. She remains involved with specific museums lending organizational and marketing expertise on their California Heritage events. In addition with her "western marketing management" group, Jane is currently retained by numerous western fine artists to assist in developing and managing their business and marketing plans in the U.S. and Canada.
